HYMENOPLASTY (hymen reconstruction surgery)

Hymenoplasty is the surgical restoration of the hymen, this procedure aims at repairing or making the hymen bigger in order to restore "virginal" state. The hymen is a thin, delicate membrane. It partially covers the opening of the vagina in most girls.

The Aim: this intimate cosmetic surgery allows natural hymen reconstruction without leaving any trace.

Procedure

restoring the hymen consists of piecing together the remnants by closing the tear. It is a very simple procedure.

The tissue is simply pulled together. In certain cases a tear-through biomaterial can be inserted. If the hymenal remnants are insufficient and definitive repair is envisaged, the surgeon may reduce the opening using a portion of the vaginal mucosa, to obtain a result similar to the hymen. This type of surgery takes about an hour. The patient can go back to a normal life after 1-2 days. Sexual activity can start after 10 days and the result is natural as well as invisible.
